This foundation was established in 2006, and the aim is a
capital amounting to one thousand million Danish Kroner, and the purposes and
objectives are, e.g., the following:
- To support the Royal Orphanage (Det Kongelige Vajsenhus) and its pupils
- To support Danish citizens, who undeservedly have financial problems that are not caused by earlier days' excess in eating and drinking etc.
- To support persons, who suffer from heart and lung diseases and/or diabetes
- To support private research concentrating on heart and lung diseases and in particular diabetes
- To support research within animal welfare and reporters of cruelty to animals
- To support impecunious persons, when their pets need veterinary care
